The "cold" lunch saga

So school is in full swing, Araya loves it and we are very happy for that, tho I for one wish she was still home during the day. It is just not the same with her gone all day.

Lunches have been something of a challenge as I don't want the kids eating school lunch. I don't think that its nearly as good as what we feed them at home and we work hard to keep things as natural as possible. But really how many days can you take pbj or cold meat sandwiches before you are totally sick of it?
Now I have to say that Araya has had some pretty yummy lunches, we cook her up grilled cheese and tomato soup, pizza rolls, shrimp, chicken nuggets, lasagna, and the list continues on. However, even with our thermos bowl things were not staying as warm as we would have liked. That is until we found this!

This is great, it has a heat pack that actually keeps the food warm for her until she is ready for lunch. She came home the first day and was so excited that her pizza rolls were still just the right temp when she went to lunch.

Now the options are endless and we are very happy for that!

They grow so fast

It doesn't seem long ago that I was sitting in the hospital holding you, you were my biggest baby, yet seemed so tiny at the time.

And now you are 2 and so big. So smart and into everything. You keep me on my toes, always having to guess what you currently are up to. Not exactly an easy job let me tell you!

You had a great 2nd birthday. You picked your candles for your cake which had to be from the movie Cars, you enjoyed your spaghetti dinner, your funfetti cake and yes you loved the presents.

We love you little man....heres to a great next year!

Where have I been???

Its been sorta busy and crazy here but its been fun as well.

I have been testing some patterns, both knit and sewing. Plus with all the canning, school starting, dance starting and yes soccer this year its been very crazy!!

First I knit up this adorable shrug for miss Araya, it will have a jumper dress to go with it for her birthday!

Then I tested another shrug pattern that will be for my niece for Christmas. It is by far my favorite and I can not wait to knit this one up for my girls as well. Completely adorable.

Then I sewed up the most adorable dress for Nevaeh, which is another tester for a friend. She has decided that things HAVE to be red, and she loves minnie mouse. More about this pattern when it is released because it is so sweet to sew up and so simple as well.

I also have a sweater on the needles right now for Nevaeh to wear this fall and you guessed it, it has red in it as well. I am hoping to have it finished up this week so that she can start to wear it!

Soccer has been a blast, Araya loves it, and her latest game she scored 2 goals. You go girl!

So I am staying busy, I have 2 more patterns I will be testing the beginning of October, Araya's dress for her birthday to sew up plus Halloween costumes in October. Then its into Christmas gifts from there. I have big plans if I can get them done, so we shall see!
